1. Surbiton Tenancy

All Surbiton vehicle rentals are subject to a detailed Rental Agreement provided at booking confirmation or on vehicle collection. The agreement sets out the specific terms, conditions, insurance cover, fees, and your responsibilities for the particular rental. If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will take precedence.

2. Surbiton Eligibility

To rent a vehicle from Surbiton, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years old for Surbiton rentals (age limits can vary by vehicle type, and additional fees may apply to drivers under 25). Hold a valid, full driving licence appropriate to the vehicle category, with the licence held for the minimum period set out in the Rental Agreement. Provide valid identification and proof of address or other documentation requested at collection.

3. Reservations and Payment

  • Bookings can be made via our website, by phone, or in person at our Surbiton office. A booking deposit may be required to confirm your reservation. Full payment and a security deposit are normally payable when the vehicle is collected. All prices are shown in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. ...

4. Vehicle Collection and Return at Surbiton

  • At collection, you must inspect the vehicle carefully and report any existing damage to Surbiton immediately. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed. Return the vehicle in the same condition as when collected, allowing for normal wear and tear. New damage will be assessed and charged accordingly.

5. Insurance and Liability — Surbiton

  • Basic third-party insurance is included with all Surbiton rentals. Full coverage details and excess amounts are provided in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be available to reduce your financial liability. We recommend reviewing these carefully. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess amount specified in the Rental Agreement.

6. Cancellation and Amendments

Cancellation and amendment policies at Surbiton depend on booking type and the notice given. Check your booking confirmation or rental agreement for the exact terms. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur charges.

7. Surbiton Restrictions

You must not use the Surbiton vehicle for:

  • Use of the vehicle for any illegal purpose or activity. Participating in racing, rallying, off‑road events or other hazardous activities. Carrying hazardous or dangerous materials. Sub‑letting the vehicle to third parties or permitting unauthorized drivers. Operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Any purposes for which the vehicle is not intended.

Violating these restrictions may result in immediate Surbiton termination and additional charges.

8. Surbiton's Liability Limits

To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Surbiton Vehicle Hire Services will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or business, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the total fees paid by you to Surbiton Vehicle Hire Services in the twelve months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Surbiton Law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute between you and Surbiton will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to Surbiton Terms

Surbiton may modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
